WFS (Walmart Fulfillment Services)

v1.0

When a customer buys your product on Walmart.com, Walmart fulfills the order from your WFS inventory. This app brings those orders into Shopify so your order history is complete and your inventory stays accurate across both platforms.

How WFS order sync works

• The app polls the Walmart WFS Orders API on a regular schedule (every 15 minutes by default)
• New Walmart.com orders that are not yet in Shopify are detected
• A Shopify order is created automatically for each new WFS order
• As the WFS order moves through Walmart's fulfillment process, the app updates the Shopify order with the latest status and tracking information

WFS order lifecycle

• Status: Meaning
• RECEIVED: Walmart has acknowledged the order (default trigger for Shopify order creation)
• PROCESSING: Walmart is picking and packing
• SHIPPED: Order has left Walmart's warehouse — tracking available
• DELIVERED: Confirmed delivered
• CANCELLED: Order was cancelled by Walmart or the customer

Configuring when Shopify orders are created

You can choose which Walmart status triggers the creation of the Shopify order. Go to Settings → Settings tab → WFS section and select the statuses under Create Shopify order when WFS order status is:

RECEIVED (default) — creates the Shopify order as soon as Walmart confirms receipt. Earliest possible notification.
PROCESSING — waits until Walmart starts picking the order
SHIPPED — waits until the order has shipped (useful if you only want fulfilled orders in Shopify)

Multiple statuses can be selected. The Shopify order is created on whichever status is reached first.

Disabling WFS order creation

If you do not want WFS orders to appear in Shopify, disable the Auto-create Shopify orders from WFS toggle in Settings → Settings tab.

WFS order tags

You can add custom Shopify tags to every WFS order created by the app. This makes WFS orders easy to identify and filter in Shopify Admin. Up to 3 tags per store. Configure in Settings → Settings tab → WFS section → Custom WFS Order Tags.

Returns

WFS return requests from Walmart can be synced back to Shopify. Enable Auto-process WFS returns in Settings to have this happen automatically.

What about Shopify → Walmart orders?

WFS only handles Walmart.com orders flowing into Shopify. To fulfill Shopify orders from your WFS inventory, use MCS mode.
