Quick Start Guide
v1.0
Follow these four steps to go from installation to your first fulfilled order.
Step 1 — Install the app
• Find Walmart MCS & WFS Sync ‑ FOV on the Shopify App Store
• Click Install
• Review the permissions and approve
After installation you are automatically placed on the Free plan. The Dashboard opens with an onboarding checklist that tracks your progress.
Step 2 — Connect your Walmart account
• Go to Settings in the app navigation
• Under the Walmart Account tab, follow the instructions to find your Client ID and Client Secret from the Walmart Developer Portal
• Enter both values and click Connect Walmart
As soon as your credentials are verified, the app automatically kicks off a product import from both Shopify and Walmart and runs SKU matching in the background.
For detailed instructions on finding your Walmart API keys, see Connecting Your Walmart Account.
Step 3 — Map your SKUs
SKU mappings tell the app which Shopify product variant corresponds to which Walmart item. Without them, orders cannot be fulfilled.
• Go to Catalog in the navigation
• Wait for the import jobs to complete (the Import Jobs tab shows progress)
• Switch to the Unmatched tab to see any products that need manual mapping
• Enter the Walmart SKU for each unmatched product and click Save
For more detail, see Mapping Your SKUs.
Step 4 — Configure fulfillment and go live
For MCS (Shopify → Walmart):
• Go to Settings → Settings tab
• Confirm the MCS Channel ID is set (your Global MCS Sales Channel ID from Walmart Seller Center)
• Choose how fulfillment requests are triggered — see Configuring Order Fulfillment
For WFS (Walmart.com → Shopify):
WFS is always enabled. New Walmart.com orders will appear in Shopify automatically as long as products have matching SKU mappings.
Once both steps are done, place a test order through your store and watch it appear in the Orders page of the app.
