Requirements

Before installing, confirm you have:

• A Shopify store (any plan)
• An active Walmart Marketplace seller account
• Enrollment in Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS)
• Walmart API credentials (Client ID and Client Secret) — see Connecting Your Walmart Account

Installation steps

• Go to the Shopify App Store and search for Walmart MCS & WFS Sync ‑ FOV, or click the direct link
• Click Install
• You will be redirected to your Shopify Admin to review the permissions the app needs
• Click Install app to approve

What happens after installation

After you approve the install:

• You are automatically placed on the Free plan (no credit card required, no action needed)
• The app registers as a fulfillment service with your Shopify store, creating a location called Walmart Fulfillment Services
• You are redirected to the app Dashboard
• An onboarding checklist appears on the Dashboard with your progress toward the first fulfilled order

The onboarding checklist has three steps:

• Connect your Walmart account
• Receive your first order
• Ship your first order

The checklist disappears automatically once all three are complete, or you can dismiss it manually.

Permissions the app requests

• Permission: Why it's needed
• Read and write orders: Create Shopify orders from Walmart.com (WFS) and read orders for MCS fulfillment
• Read and write fulfillments: Write tracking information back to Shopify orders
• Read and write inventory: Sync WFS stock levels to the Walmart Fulfillment Services location
• Read products: Import product catalog for SKU matching
• Read and write fulfillment orders: Submit and manage fulfillment requests through the WFS location

Reinstalling

If you previously uninstalled the app and are reinstalling, your store settings and SKU mappings are restored automatically. You will need to re-enter your Walmart API credentials.
